Worlds Worst Pet Mom!

Literally just need to get it off my chest because I feel awful! We took our dogs to the woods for a walk today and I found these gorgeous lily type flowers. I love them so I picked some for the house.

I knew tiger lillies were toxic to cats but I figured these wood lillies are harmless. Less than an hour later I catch our cat eating them so I quickly google exactly what type they are and turns out also SUPER TOXIC within hours of eating.

I start crying my fiancée is upset I didn’t check this before hand and we rush off to the vet with our cat.

$350 and an hour later she’s puked everything back up and will return on Tuesday for a blood draw to make sure her kidneys haven’t been damaged.

The vet said the amount she ate wouldve been lethal and we made the best call by getting her there under an hour. I feel absolutely horrid and have been sobbing since... I can’t believe I poisoned my own cat by accident... she’s acting totally fine and even ate some treats but I feel awful.

My fiancée is calm now and doesn’t blame me and is just happy our little Kuiu will be fine.

But I’m like I need to be a mother in less than 3 weeks and nearly killed my own cat over some pretty flowers. 😭😭
