COVID & your appointments?

How is everyone’s dr. handling COVID? I have Kiser and my first appointment is tomorrow. When I called to schedule the appointment I was told my husband could come but just received a call saying they’re not allowing anyone but the patient back. I totally understand why. I just feel terrible for my husband. This was a surprise pregnancy and our 2nd. I’m still coming to terms with it myself. Anyone in a similar situation?

I’m in the US. They’re letting my husband in for ultrasounds only, but only me for other appointments. I am very thankful he can at least come to ultrasounds, but this is baby #3 and will be a very different experience without him attending all the appointments. He rarely missed an appointment for the first two.

I’m in the UK so not sure what a kaiser is? But my booking in appointment was over the phone. I’ve got bloods Saturday and the process will be sitting in the car waiting to be called in and then go straight out. I don’t have my 12 week scan date yet but that will be alone. Then my 16 week appointment will be over the phone and a 20 week scan at the hospital again alone. 
It will be our third child together, but not my third pregnancy. Terrified to go to the scan alone in case anything as wrong. In the Uk You can go to the pub, for a haircut -and soon the cinema or restaurant. Yet my husband cannot come to our scans ☹️

I have Kaiser, too, and they’ll allow you to use FaceTime or video chat to include your partner in the appointment!
