Sitting up?

My daughter will be 7 months this week and she can’t seem to get the hang of sitting up... she’s rolling ALL OVER THE PLACE but has no interest in sitting up unless something is supporting her back... but I know babies that are younger than her by as much as a month that are already sitting... is this normal? Can I do anything other than just sit with her and let her learn to slowly be able to hold herself up?

My son will sit up but after a minute or so he will flop onto his belly and army crawl around. He prefers to be on his belly

She’ll do it when interested! Nothing wrong with that! I don’t know any adults that don’t sit unassisted 😊

Mines 7m on 7/3 and still toppled over. She can sit unassisted maybe 30 secs max. My first didn’t until she was 7.5 months. I’m not worried. Plus her head is huge compared to the rest of her (3% height, 1% weight and 68% heAd)

I just had my son appointment for his six month check up and his ped.. said its fine they r not concerned cause babies should not be fully sitting up till 9 month! But then again all babies r different.. my two baby girls never fully set till they were 9 months.. and now my 6 month old doesnt sit for to long he goes side ways.

Mine is 7mos on the 3rd and sits enough for me to take a photo but still occasionally topples over

mine only wants to roll all the time she can't be on her back only her belly fights me to get dressed change a nappy i actually dread it

My doctor said depending on body portion like if they are bigger in one percentile (lets say a larger head) it makes it harder for them to do it with out falling over because of the difference in their body at the time. 😊 my son sits up with a large head though which isn’t that common lol but all babies are different and take sometime in somethings. If she isn’t sitting up by 9 months I would definitely ask your doctor about it to see how to help her along. But 2 months makes a huge difference with babies!

I’m glad we’re not the only one! Baby girl just turned 7mo today (7/20) and seems to be taking her time in EVERYTHING... 🤣

My daughter is the same 😩, she sits up for about 1 minute before she falls. She’s been using a sit me up seat since 3 months and I guess it didn’t help. My other 2 kids were sitting at 3 months old
