Urethra pain?

I’m nearly 4 weeks postpartum, had a forceps delivery with catheter and episiotomy. Around 2 weeks pp my stitches stopped hurting but I had a new pain just around my urethra when I moved around, gradually got worse and hurt when I wasn’t even moving. Felt inflamed and sore and stings at the end of peeing and when I relax the peeing muscle. To pee fully I have to hover over the toilet (ie not sit down). The doc did tests and confirmed it wasn’t a UTI or an infection (she gave me antibiotics for it just in case- had no effect), and then she said maybe it was a form of thrush. I’ve used thrush cream for a week and it has had some improvement but now the pain is back with a vengeance. They’re gonna check my urine again but has anyone else had something similar? It’s really frustrating and uncomfortable
