If you’ve had a previous csection are you doing a repeat csection or try vbac? If you’ve done vbac was it successful? Trying to decide if I should attempt it or not.

Just trying to get more input from other moms. Give me the details. The good, the bad whatever it may be I’d love to hear your story if it was successful or not.

Going for my second VBAC with baby #3. I did nothing to prepare my body with my first pregnancy and I know that is part of the reason it ended in a CSection. I would recommend exercise a little every day (even just a walk), prenatal yoga, sit on that exercise ball whenever you can (watching tv, doing laundry l, etc), drink tons of water, AND eat 6 dates a day the last month of pregnancy to soften your cervix. (No I’m not kidding) Worked wonders for me. Oh! And be your own advocate. When we first got to the hospital the attending OB straight up refused to let me do a VBAC. The nurses informed me that if I could make it to shift change (2 hours) there was a more understanding Doctor coming. I told the Dr as politely as I could through very painful contractions that I refused to sign her csection consent form especially since there was no indication that it was necessary. 4 hours later I had a successful VBAC with the other Dr.

And also go to a Chiropractor! They get your body all lined up and ready to get that baby out! Also, will help put you back together after 😉

I had a c section with my first and a very successful VBAC with my second. My goal is to have another VBAC with baby #3. I would definitely recommend it as long as you and your doctor are both comfortable with it.

My first was a planned c section and it was such a breeze. I was healed so much faster than any of my friends who also had one and off all pain medication the day I left the hospital. Planned ones are apparently a completely different experience than “emergency” ones. My friends with emergency ones had terrible recoveries. I don’t know if that’s because I was prepared or because I didn’t have to heal from labor or what.It took about a week after the surgery before I could lift my son out of the bassinet without help but I was driving myself to my 2 week check up. I’m definitely having a repeat one.

Did anyone have a successful VBAC after their first baby was stuck? My OBGYN said unless this baby is smaller it’s not likely I will deliver without a csection but she is very willing to let me try whatever I want. My first child was not big so that is what concerns me. She was only 7lb and 19 inches.

Yeah my doctor has been really chill about the whole thing but basically told me if the first one didn’t fit that it’s not likely this one will. I just kinda hate the idea of picking a date for my baby to be born. My husband is all for it though because he loves to plan 😂.

I don’t have the answer but I’m in the same situation. Daughter was 7lb 9oz and stuck. So I’m doing a scheduled c section again. I did some research and it just doesn’t sound like I’m a good candidate for VBAC.

I scheduled my c section. I’m so small framed and I tend to make large babies (weight/length/and head) my gyne said if I go into natural labour on my own and things actually go as planned he’ll let me do a VBAC otherwise I’m not a good candidate for one which I’m fine with :)

That’s what we have planned with my OB too. And for the exact same reasons.

This is my second baby too. My first was a whole lot of complications, and my gyne said if he was on call that day I never would have laboured as long as I did.

My doctor seems pretty chill about letting me decide what I want to try. My first baby was stuck so she says if this one is running a little smaller it might be no issue but if I would rather not chance it I am welcome to do a csection. It’s nice and hard having a chill doctor because now it’s basically just up to me and it’s a big decision!

But I will say if I wasn’t wanting this to be the last I would MOST DEFINITELY do VBAC again! Quicker healing time and way less painful

I’m doing a scheduled c section. With my first I pushed for over 3 hours before going in for a c section. I have a petite frame, I guess I’ll never know for sure but I suspect I just don’t have the hips for it (plus my baby wasn’t small). I spoke to my doctor and second kids are bigger, plus boys are bigger. So if I couldn’t get my daughter out it’s unlikely this baby boy will be any different.

I was in labor for 39 hours with my first and it ended in a csection soooo this time we went ahead and just scheduled one because 39 hours is a LONG time to labor before having a csection
