Would you call corporate??

Ok, so I really try to not call in complaints. Like EVER. No matter how unsatisfied with my service I am, I get customer service is hard so if I do make a decision to call in a complaint it’s typically something very substantial.

So earlier today, I went into a Starbucks to get a coffee and something to eat really quick. As I walked up to the display I noticed a slightly off wrap. I thought it was like a blue cheese wrap something new but as I got closer I realized it was the MF sausage and egg wrap COVERED in fuzzy green and blue mold. (That shit looked like it’s been on display since the pandemic started🤮🤢) I’m not even joking. I was so put off I didn’t even want to order anything from the store. I ordered something and just asked the barista if she knew there was mold on display and she said “oh yeah /they’re/ gonna change that out in a bit. ( I was the only customer in the store 🥴) anyway. I looked around and everything else looked really clean so I ordered a small coffee. BIG TIME REGRET!!

Idk if it was bad milk or they got a bit of sanitizing solution in my steamed milk (it happens from time to time and will make someone vomit like food poisoning). I threw up about 4 sips into my coffee so I’m assuming it’s either bad milk or sanitizer sickness considering they had a minimum of 4week old wraps on display.

Maybe I’m over reacting, and I definitely don’t wanna be a crazy Karen calling management for minor issues. So I thought I’d ask y’all. Would you call this in? Or am I over reacting.

Disclaimer; I feel fine now that I threw up. I didn’t finish the drink and all is well which is why I’m kinda conflicted. My father thinks it’s appropriate to call it in because if they can’t change out a wrap for that long who is to tell what else isn’t being done properly , especially during a pandemic . But like at the same time, the store looked clean for the most part like the counters and stuff. The sanitizer buckets needed to be changed but they coulda just finished their rush.

IDK.. Am I over reacting? Should I call the store and “complain” or at least let them know? Do I leave a review?? Please help, I’m very open to suggestions

what’s an appropriate thing or situation to call and “complain” about?
