I’m 26 weeks pregnant. I popped in the last couple of weeks, but this being my first pregnancy, thought it was normal. I went for a scan on Monday and got told I had some excess fluid, got sent straight to a doctor and was referred to the leading baby hospital in my state. Went in the next day and got told my baby girl was full of fluid and will die either in womb or as soon as she’s born. I had a litre of fluid drained as my organs were getting crushed. I’m in shock. I thought I’d be safe passing the 20 week mark, but I was wrong. They’re now encouraging me to induce as I’m risking my own health keeping her in. I can still feel her move and can’t bring myself to do that. I’ll stay with her for as long as I’m able to and let God decide what happens next. I won’t give up hope that my baby will be a miracle.
