Potty training

How is potty training going for everyone? My son started staying dry most of the times for naps and will pee on the potty right after he wakes up. Last night his diaper stayed almost completely dry all night and he went right when he woke up. He asks for potty for every poop and has been for months (except for when he had diarrhea/ wasn't feeling well).

I'm not on a strict schedule for him yet I just kind of periodically ask him to sit on the potty and he will pee. We tried underwear the other day and he wouldn't pee before I put them on and peed 2 minutes into wearing them. We changed them and he peed through those too.

Has anyone gotten on more of a schedule yet? Any tips for me? I'm trying to go at his pace but don't want to drag it out if he is ready either.
