Really random! If your TTC for about 4 months then take a 4 month break, would you then start counting your months of TTC from 1 again or would you include the 4 months still and count it as ‘month 5’???

Think of them more like cycles and not months. Doesn’t matter if you take breaks in between. This is your 5th “cycle” trying.

If you took a break, then you weren’t trying to conceive so it would restart. If this is first month trying then this would be cycle 1 ttc.

I think it depends on why you’re counting.. if it’s just for your own purposes then I think you could easily say we got pregnant on our 5th month of trying (or whatever month it ends up being). If you’re asking because you’re wondering if you should go see a doctor about not conceiving at some point, then no, you shouldn’t count the time you weren’t trying.
