Any third time Mamas with young children?

Alexa • Mommy to Olivia, Clark & Vivian 💗💙💜

This will be my third baby, and my son just turned one two weeks ago. We definitely wanted another baby, we just really didn’t realize it would happen so soon. I had an ectopic pregnancy and lost a Fallopian tube, and let’s just say we weren’t making any “active” attempts when it happened. So it’s a surprise for sure. I’m nervous about having babies 20 months apart. Going from one to two children was a big leap for me. I worry how I will get along with a two year old and a newborn when my 5 year old starts school. I’m also nervous about what this is going to do to my body. I have been feeling very unattractive and struggling at accepting my belly pudge since a few months after my son was born. I am going to make it a major goal not to gain as much weight this time as I did with my other two. And hopefully I will finally succeed at breastfeeding for the entire first year. It didn’t work out the last two times. Also, I had a natural water birth with my son and while it was an amazing experience, I JUST did it. And it hurt! And now I’m nervous that I’m automatically expected to do that again. I’m sure I will, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have anxiety about giving birth all over again. It was the most intense thing I’ve ever done.

Anyway, I just have a lot of nerves that I’m sure will wear off as the months go by. And hopefully the baby will just arrive and fit right in! I’m blessed to have already been staying home with my other two so at least it’s the “right time” in that regard. To any other Moms with the same concerns, you are definitely not alone. And if anyone has any advice on having two so close together I would love to hear it! And if it’s your third baby and you’re totally pumped and not nervous at all I’ll take that too! All third time Moms are welcome to give their input, good or bad. And anyone else for that matter. 😆💗
