Hair tips for black girl?

So this is mostly for other black women but I’m trying to figure out what type of hair I have my hair is damaged but rn I can’t afford the products to go natural so I have to straighten it. I need help.

I straighten my hair often. Try to use heat protectant and deep condition often. Also trim split ends every 6 weeks or so.
