Mirena thoughts and opinions?

My doctor has been pressuring me to get the IUD mirena. I am currently on loloestrin and I like it. My doctor has been great and I've been going to her for years but I have high blood pressure and she is concerned for me being on the pill. Any thoughts or things I should know about mirena? Want to do my research before I decide if I should do it.

I’m on the same pill as you and love it. The iud was worse for me. My periods lasting two weeks heavy and bloated crappy. I got it taken out after three months i couldn’t handle it anymore. My doctor wanted me to wait six months before removing it. So now I’m on Loloestrin. There’s different types of birth control the pill, ring, implant, patch, the shot.
