Induction

So in my appointment yesterday, my Doctor told me they scheduled a induction at 39weeks, im scared my firt pregnancy was induced at 37 and it was A very looongggg delivery!!!
Is that normal... i had my first baby in Puerto Rico and its everything is very very different here!!!!!
