Safe to go to a waterpark yet?

Planning to go next weekend, I am of course nervous. There’s no deaths down where the waterpark is but I’m still super nervous on taking my almost 3 year old and 1 year old 😭

I definitely wouldn't. When everything shut down in March, there were fewer cases of covid, and now there are way more and stuff is reopening? It's not logical, it's economic, and it's irresponsible. We will be staying home, or at least far away from any other people, until there is a vaccine or at least an effective and widely available treatment. Right now it's just a roll of the dice whether you or your kids get it, get very sick, or worse, and if someone does get very sick, there's no real treatment for it - not to mention the fact that plenty of the people who have "recovered" will never have the same lung capacity or energy they had before. Even though it seems to impact children less, my kids still need their mom and dad and if one of us got sick, it could be really bad. Not risking it. We didn't even go anywhere this whole winter because I had a newborn who couldn't get a flu shot, so we're going on 8 months of self isolation. It's tough and it's annoying, but it's worth it to keep us safe.

I’m not taking mine anywhere this summer. Our cases and deaths are very low here, but I’m just too nervous about it. Better safe than sorry. 🤷‍♀️

I'm living in Europe and we have significantly less cases... But we're still avoiding any activities that involve going near other people.
I also have a newborn and frequently see my grandma so I understand we are taking this more seriously than others.
Water parks are notorious for the various diseases that you can easily catch there, so even when we will be going out more we will still avoid them.

No way I'm going anywhere that populated with my kids anytime soon. Our cases are back on the rise unfortunately thanks to the 20-30yr old bar hoppers and people who can't stay out of the social scene. We bought a fun sprinkler and pool this year, my kids would choose that over catching covid anyday!  Imo.... not worth it. But you do what's right for you and your family.

Not for us. I'm a little worried and waiting to see how the inflammatory illness in children pans out. We have about 30 cases in our state which i think is alot considering most children have been inside.

No for me. I just don’t see the point in risking it. I get it’s summer and we wanna go out and have fun but I wouldn’t enjoy myself knowing how worried I’d be over anyone in my family catching covid for a few hours of fun in the sun.

We have gone to our water park this summer! They are limiting the amount of guests and it was awesome!
