Have you started natural methods to induce labor?

Spicy foods, exercise ball, sex etc. When is it safe to start trying to induce labor in your opinion!?

I’ve been using my ball for weeks, it helps keep baby head down. Also been drinking raspberry leaf tea for weeks and just started taking evening primrose. We never stopped having sex so didn’t really start that for any reason lol

I started eating dates. There are a few preliminary studies that have shown they can help soften the cervix, and even help keep bleeding down after delivery. I started 4 weeks from my due date. I would caution against doing anything before 36 weeks. Lungs are still developing, and you don't want to cause complications. Also, I've heard spicy food does nothing, but there is science behind having penetrative sex, as semen contains a hormone that speeds things up.

I personally won't until I get to 38 weeks if I get that far. I really would love an August baby so I want him to stay in until then 😂

I’m only 34 weeks, and don’t plan to do anything but have sex because I wanna get as much in as possible before 6+ weeks without it 😂

I wouldn’t try before 38 weeks but either way, if your body isn’t ready, nothing will work anyways

With my first son I think I started around 39 weeks. Nothing worked. Went into labor naturally at 41 weeks

I’ve been sitting on my birth ball a lot, and I think it’s for sure helped kiddo get nice and low. My midwife yesterday even commented about how low he feels 😂 Other than that, I’ve been drinking red raspberry leaf tea every once in a while, and I’ve started some hand expression. I have a feeling this child is going to take his sweet time, so I have no issues trying to (gently, naturally) coax him out before he’s like 9lbs 😂

I tried everything with my first and nothing work, had to be induced. This is my second, I’ll be 37 weeks on Monday and that’s when I plan to start doing stuff to get labor going. Sex, dates, ball, pumping
