Is 7lbs baby boy small?

I’m 36 weeks and 3 days. Had a doc apt today and doc thinks that my baby boy will be about 7lbs. Is that small for a boy? Does that mean he will be short?

I've had two girls a boy and another boy on the way my Dr was always worried bc of baby weight and all of mine were born 6lb 10oz or less all were long and completely healthy I just grow small babies

7 lbs is actually normal and you’re going to be grateful for that if you have a vaginal birth. Birth weight has nothing to do with height. It mostly has to do with how much weight you gained. I was 6 lbs 8 oz and I’m now a little over 5’7”. My best friend was 7 lbs 14 oz and she’s 5’2”. I knew someone who was 10 lbs and he was about 5’5”. Doesn’t matter. No worries. In the end, it’ll be about genetics.

It’s not small. It’s not big. And the weight won’t decide his height later in life. He sounds healthy

That is a blessing to you. My 2 girls were both 7 1/2 lbs but 2 inches difference. And my boys were 8 lbs and 1 inch difference. 3 out of the 4 grew to be 90-100 percentile in either weight or height.
