Do you expect ....

Question

If you Don’t work, go to school part time, has no children but does do home chores and cook everyday... your husband works, has decent amount of money saved and has a job that pays decent too, does not help around the house, doesn’t pay much rent and doesn’t have expensive bills... would you expect your husband to give you money all the time/ whenever you ask? For both needs and wants ?
Right now I pay for my wants with extra money I have and what I keep when he gives me something each month, but he pays for needs like food, bills, shampoo, insurance bills... just not for my wants like makeup and things I just want or when I give a gift...
DO YOU EXPECT HIM TO GIVE YOU MONEY WHENEVER YOU ASK?

No if you don’t go to work and have no kids maybe get a job to help him out. Marriage is about being a team. And he shouldn’t be the only one contributing. I understand if your a stay at home mom because that’s a job itself but your going to school part time I’m sure you can manage a part time job. And have extra money.

Make a budget and see if he wants to create a fund for your wants once you know how much extra he has. Maybe he thinks you get enough already. You could always get a job and not worry about depending on someone else for everything.

Maybe I’m crazy old fashioned, but if you’re willing to marry a person you should be willing to share everything including money. It should be “our money” not your money and his money otherwise you might as well be roommates. 
I was raised with the thought process and belief that marriage works best when it’s a team effort rather then two solo efforts in theory headed in some “similar” direction. 
If one of you is worried about improper spending then on a budget. 
Check out Dave Ramsey. He has a full financial planning course and he has a web based app called everydollar that you can link to your bank accounts to track your expenses and make sure you don’t exceed your budget line items. 
Many people take the course as a form of pre-martial counseling because so many parts of life are tied to money and what you care about spending money on shows what’s important to you in your life. Example - is it more important to spend money on vacations or saving to buy a house?
