I’m going to be 20 in a few months and I can’t find a job. My boyfriend and I want to get an apartment. We have been living with my parents because our plans were put on halt due to Covid. I’ve worked before but it’s all been retail and I only have about 9 months of experience. I have anxiety that caused me to not work and was fortunate enough to not have to get a job until my later teens.

I’ve always liked working but I need a job that can pay enough for at least half of my rent, some money for college and general saving/spending money. I can’t do the food industry due to being hard of hearing. How do I find something that can pay sort of well without tons of experience? Also, what do employers truly care about on your resume? I feel like I tend to overcomplicate my resume to try and express who I am, which is probably the opposite of what’s needed.
