Evap lines?

Can someone please explain how they work/how long it takes for them to show up? 
I’m 4 days away from when I should get my period, and I woke up at 6a and took a fr test. It looked negative to me and to my husband at the 3 min mark so I tossed aside and went back to sleep. 
I woke up at 820a and went and looked at the first test (which I know I shouldn’t have done) and saw a definite second line. But it was 2.5 hours after the test was taken.
I decided to take a second test and I swear I saw a faint line within 4 mins, and a more obvious one within 10 mins. Could this still be an evap line? I’ve just never heard of indents/Evaps until recently on this app.

Hi everyone - I wonder if you can help 
I took this test this morning before I left for work - checked it after 5 minutes and it was negative, so I left it and went to work 
Came back 3 hours later and now it is very clear there is a blue line there - my question - after 3 hours would you think this is an evap line? I have ordered a first response to arrive tomorrow so I will try again with pink dye. We have been TTC for three months so I hope this is real 🥰 but I have heard so many stories about Clear Blue evap lines .. 
Has anyone had any experience like this with clear blue?

So technically an evap is a line that has color but shows up after the time frame. You can read a first response until the 10 minute mark. My best guess is that if you had waited the ten minutes you would have seen the line. I would retest tomorrow or the next morning and look at it up until the 10 minute mark. That line looks too defined to be a fluke in my opinion.
