Unhealthy Habits

Soo, I’m posting this in search of some advice from moms who know how to cook. I wanted to be anonymous because this genuinely makes me feel like a bad mom and I’m really ashamed.

My boyfriend and I come from parents who honestly didn’t give a shit about teaching us anything, and unfortunately not just COOKING but healthier eating habits as well. Before we had our 17 month old daughter, we ate out a lot and we just smacked a lot. Sometimes we didn’t (and still dont) eat 3 whole meals a day. We skip breakfast or lunch a lot. Don’t be mistaken, my daughter has 3 meals 4 snacks a day. She drinks plenty of water. She drinks juice/milk as well. I do my best to make sure her snacks are good for her, so she mostly munches on watermelon, kiwi, strawberries, blueberries (all the berries!) maybe tuna and crackers or some apple sauce or yogurt pouches. Little bits of good stuff.

BUT she doesn’t like veggies. I can get her to eat corn, green beans and broccoli but that is it!

PLUS she hates meat! She won’t even eat chicken nuggets. No ground beef, no chicken, no steak, no pork, only occasionally fish and hotdogs.

So her meals are usually the same old thing everyday!

Breakfast would be: Eggs with toast/Pancakes and berries/French toast and yogurt.

Lunch: PB&J sandwich with goldfish/Lunchable/hotdog with Mac and cheese

Dinner: Spaghetti/Alfredo/chef boyardee microwaveable spaghetti-os or “chicken” and rice, which she picks the damn chicken out of.

Anyways yeah her meals rotate around thoughts because she actually eats them (most of the time) and I have no idea how to cook or what other kinds of food to introduce her too!

I got experimental and made homemade chicken quesadillas one night and she ate one surprisingly but I have no idea what else to make to get healthier things in her!

What can I hide vegetables in?? or meat in???

What’s some good stuff for toddlers?? Honestly I have no idea and I feel like I’m stuffing my kid with seriously unhealthy junk 😭
