Anyone planning on trying to induce themselves and how?

I think I'm gonna start trying at 37 weeks because I'm in so much pain with my back already and I'm still a few days off 33 weeks 😣

Can I ask why though ? And how? 
Why even try and do it yourself when most doctors (decent ones) will not do it before 39/40 weeks unless a serious medical reason. 
Your baby will come when your baby and body are ready 
I’m fully bedbound because I can’t walk move or anything I’m on crutches and wheelchair and I cannot describe the pain to anyone but I wouldn’t try and induce myself just to save myself a few weeks when those few weeks are actually important to my babies growth (he’s small)

I don’t see a problem with trying to get your body ready for labor at 37 weeks. Red raspberry leaf tea, frequent walks, bouncing on a yoga ball, etc to encourage your body to get ready for baby time are all usually safe if approved by your provider. Those are all pretty gentle nudges, and mostly serve to prep your uterus and cervix for the work it has to do. But actually, actively trying to induce yourself before you body and your baby are ready, especially at 37 weeks, could lead to issues with feeding, blood sugar problems, failure to progress, etc. and doesn’t seem worth the risk to me. Term babies choose their birthdays based on when they’re ready to meet the world and when their little lungs are mature enough to handle the transition to life outside of you. Messing with that on purpose could be risky.

It’s your choice and you’re technically considered full term but I do just want to tell you my experience. Once I hit 37 weeks with my first I was so ready for baby to come out so I started “trying” to induce myself. All I did was go on a long walk and have sex with my husband but the next day my water broke. My son was born not breathing and had difficulty breathing for the first day (his lungs really could have used 3 more weeks to mature). He still deals with breathing issues to this day (he’s 2.5 years old) He also had a rough time latching and keeping his blood sugars up. So you can imagine how guilty I felt and still feel for wanting him out early for my own comfort and just being anxious to see my baby. They really do have a lot of growing and maturing still in those final weeks.

At 37 weeks you will most likely have a nicu stay. Hopefully COVID isn’t to bad in your area or you might not be able to visit while your baby is there. Just something to think about. Everyone is miserable at the end of their pregnancy. I am on bedrest with twins atm and still wouldn’t consider risking all of that!

Nope .. want her to grow an develope as long as possible i am in pain alot swelling, an can barely sleep an can not get comfortable im 34 wks an 5 days but i can stick it out for her

No. I want baby to grow and develop as much as possible so he can come out strong hopefully. I have back issues as well, to the point where I feel like an 85 year old man and have to roll myself out of bed or get my husband to help me up from the pain. I take a warm shower twice, sometimes 3 times a day to help my muscles relax and it helps.

My doctor won’t schedule an induction until after 40 weeks.  And with my first I tried sex, walking, bouncing on a ball and nothing he still came when he wanted. (2 days after due date) I would never want to be induced as much pain as I’m in cuz your body isn’t ready and neither is baby.  I mean yea I’m really hoping this one comes before the due date cuz I’m miserable and I’ve been walking at least 4 days a week since the beginning of pregnancy and considered getting my yoga ball out but I won’t be induced.  That’s my personal choice tho and everyone is different.

I am going to be induced at 39 weeks due to gestational diabetes but my midwife wants me to be walking everyday and sex every other day then at 37 weeks she said start nipple stimulation and evening primrose oil. I don't plan on taking the epo but I will start using my breast pump after 37 week. I'm terrified of being induced and am hoping baby will come naturally before that
