Anyone considering Umbrella stroller?

Question

So I have a pretty good convertible full size stroller which me and my baby love. But I live in 2nd floor and going out twice a day(just for a quick walk around the block) 
But I’m confused that is this a good idea, because it only has waist belt... no shoulder straps and it’s only forward facing(not considering another convertible stroller)
Want to know your thoughts or if you already own one, plz plz share your experience.

I have both for my daughter I have the full size one for my car and her dad has the umbrella stroller for his car the umbrella stroller is nice for little walks and stuff since the basket underneath is not useful once she sits down.

I have what amounts to an umbrella stroller and only use it for travel. It’s great for the perfectly smooth floors at the airport. I wouldn’t consider using it to go around the block. He would feel every crack in the sidewalk. For whatever it’s worth, it folds up to the size of a shoebox. It’s called GB pockit all terrain.

I have an umbrella stroller which I love for some things. I rarely use the shoulder straps on strollers anyway (just clip the waist portion) and I have never used a stroller where baby faces me except for the clip-in infant car seat type which we haven’t used since like 5 months. So neither of those things would bother me. 
The downsides to the umbrella stroller imo is that it doesn’t recline as much as some of my other strollers, and the wheels don’t roll well on uneven or rough terrain. But it’s great for quick trips when you want something lightweight. We have the MacLaren globetrotter.

I think it's a fantastic idea for your situation! Don't worry about the straps, the lap belt will hold them in and they'll learn not to fool around too much. The one thing I would look for in an umbrella stroller is height. Make sure you're not too leaned over or your back will suffer. Some of them aren't very tall!

I have a regular one for walks and things but also a compact one similar that I like to keep in the car for unexpected need. Its super convenient to have a smaller one for easier use.
