Is it worth it to buy a baby name book ?

Question

I’m seriously considering purchasing one because I can’t seem to find any baby girl names I like on the internet. I keep coming across the same ones. 
I’m hoping to find a name that is very unique and beautiful, but not too odd lol. 
My father told me that they found my name in a baby book and my name is very very rare. Whenever you search “baby girl names” my name NEVER pops up, ever!

Also, watch credits after movies and tv shows etc so many names go across the screen, never know if you’ll see one that catches your eye

I would! It is so helpful to have something to go through and highlight. Plus if you write down name combinations in the inside cover or the back of the book, it becomes a great souvenir or momento of your pregnancy and it's neat to look back on with your kids once they're born.

I’d say stop googling. And don’t use Pinterest or YouTube. Those three methods are what’s sure to make you run into the same names again and again.
Pick one or two name websites and explore them like you would a name book. I like nameberry.com
Thorough exploration of a single website will give you wayyyyyyyy more variety than google searches, especially such broad simplistic searches, and more variety than a book, too. Only do google searches if you’re searching something really specific, like “names of moons in our solar system” or “names of female poets in history” or something equally narrow. 
I’d say definitely buy a book if you get frustrated by screens and absorb information better from paper. But I think it’s more likely that your search method is off, not that the internet isn’t a good source.
Apps like Kinder and Babynames are a fun way to get ideas, too.

I had one for my first baby and it was nice but honestly way to many strange names that I couldn’t figure out how to pronounce. Ended up picking a name without the book. Second baby’s name came from a movie.

You could google lists of names by year and instead of looking at the top names scroll down to like the 100th or 200th or 1000th names on the list to find the less popular names.

What I did was just sit in Barnes& nobles and read them for free and wrote a list down.
