Toddler pillow recommendations ??

My son is 21 months old and I’ve been noticing him using his stuffed animal as a pillow sometimes (though most of the time it’s thrown out of his crib by the morning). I also noticed he thought it was great snuggling up with me on my pillow when we were camping in the trailer.

When should I offer a toddler pillow into his crib? Is he too young still?

What about a blanket? He seems to hate at least having his feet covered by a blanket and we don’t have AC in our house so I’m not quite sure he’s ready for one of those but is it too soon to offer a pillow?

Which one do you recommend?

Please no bashing for not having him set up with more of a “bed like” setting at this age yet, I’m a first time mom and our pediatrician didn’t mention any of this at his 18 month appointment so I’m literally just taking cues from my little guy as we go.
