Painful period after ovarian cyst ruptured?

2 weeks ago I endes up in the ER with bad pain. After an ultrasound I was told I had fluid in my uterus and around my right ovary due to a cyst that ruptured. I just started my period today and it has been SO painful! I have never had a period so painful before. Has anyone else ever experienced this after an ovarian cyst ruptured?

I had my cysts leak and was in pain like 24/7. I was young at the time and didn't realise that wasn't normal until I went for my first general check up.
