I don’t know how to explain it but this guy when messages me first he obviously wants to talk. But whenever I initiate and message him first it takes him hours to reply. Am I overthinking in thinking he only wants to talk to me on “his terms”/when he wants?

When he messages me, I feel I need to initiate the conversation the next time and when he doesn’t respond until ages later I feel stupid.
