should i be worried

so i am on the pill, i am very good about taking and never miss it. my boyfriend and i also use protection a huge majority of the time, along with the pull out method. my period is a few days late and i’m kind of stressing, but this has happened before with the pills causing a late period. should i be worried? what are your experiences with this sort of thing?
