so i got my iud roughly two weeks ago & i checked my strings yesterday & they felt normal. later that evening my s/o & i were having sex & he didn’t pull out. is it safe to say i’m protected? i have the kyleena iud & had it placed while i was on my period.

edit: i know i’m not 100% safe as birth control isn’t 100% but i do know the iud is considered more protected than tying your tubes.
