Did I tell too soon?

Question

Told my immediate family last night and instantly felt a sense of regret. I thought I would be relieved to have them know but now I feel like I jinxed it and something will happen. I’m only 5w1d but my blood tests came back with a good increase so I was just excited 😔  
This is my 4th pregnancy; miscarriage at 12w in 2016, son who just turned 2 and just had a chemical before this cycle.

When telling family I don’t think there is a too soon point. I always think about it this way: if anything were to happen to my pregnancy, they would be the first people we would turn to, so we want them to know right away. Plus it gives you more people to think and pray for you and your baby!

It’s totally up to you when you tell people. Personally I believe every pregnancy/baby should be celebrated regardless if you carry him/her for 4 weeks or 40 weeks! I told my parents and in laws the same week I found out with my first and did the same with this baby. If something happens then I’ll have a support system. 💗💙

There is no such thing as jinxing it- nearly all early miscarriages are completely out of our control. The only thing that matters is your comfort. 
The only thing that made me reconsider having done that last time, wasn't that I lost the baby- I'd partly told them for that very reason, to have support in the event the worst happened- it was that the people I'd told turned out to be completely unsupportive anyway. That left me feeling even worse than if I'd never told them. So my future advice to people will be, just be sure the people you tell are the kind who give you the support you need. If they're judgemental or generally crappy, they don't deserve to know. Lol. I'm 6 wks 2 days with my rainbow baby (hopefully), I've known for 3 wks, and I've only told 2 people who have no connection to my family whatsoever- my next door neighbors. Its really about you getting the support you need, so people can take care of you while you take care of baby. ❤ Sending best wishes

I feel like I jinxed myself too. I just had my ultrasound today and there was nothing but an empty sack.
