I can’t believe our babies are 18 months old already! He had his well visit today and he’s only gained a pound but grown more than 2 inches since 15 months.

He saw a different doctor today because his is out for 12 weeks, but first thing he said was “you’re a big 18 month old!”

He says >70 words already, can follow directions/commands when we ask, I can’t believe how freaking smart they are at this age. Everyone always says how good he is. He’s in a shy phase which I’m told is normal for this age. I’m hoping Covid-19 didn’t break him because he’s been home with me since March. No stores, restaurants, only family and friends homes.

He has started having meltdowns which are always fun. I used to ignore them but I’ve just recently started to teach him how to calm down, and then I make him laugh. So far so good!

We haven’t started potty training yet, and I don’t think he’s ready at all, but since I’m still working from home, I’m thinking about getting him used to the potty and see where it goes from there.

Anyone else start potty training yet? How’s it going? Any tips are welcome!
