How old do you think you should be when you start using  tampons?

I started my period at 9 😬 but I started tampons at 11 when I was at the beach. Before then I was scared to use them. I’m 18 now and I’m still not that fond of tampons but I wear them. Especially swimming. I just say whatever age. Using tampons really isn’t a big deal and can help a lot when you have a heavy period. Just make sure if they’re younger that you ask every so often when was the last time they changed it etc!

i started wearing tampons soon after i got my period (14) and i would say any age is when u can start wearing tampons. there’s nothing wrong abt not using pads or a cup. it’s up to the person and personally i prefer tampons.

I stared using them as soon as I needed them. That was after only a few periods. I needed them because I was on holiday and was going swimming. I much prefer them and not use them most of the time unless my period is super light.

I pretty much started using tampons when I first got my period (I was 12). There was a swimming carnival on and I had no other choice so I learnt how to insert them. There’s no real answer for this one, I feel it’s just whenever you think you are ready.

You should start wearing tampons whenever you feel comfortable wearing them. If you do want to start I would recommend getting the smallest size you can find and try it out. That’s what I did and it made me feel more comfortable trying it out, it wasn’t painful and it was fairly easy to use because it was small. As I got use to it I started moving up a size to find the perfect one for me. I also started experimenting with different brands. One thing that is really important is to never buy or use the same size as your mother or female guardian. This is because they have most likely had children and they have stretched. You are still young so trying something that works for them will probably be uncomfortable and painful for you because the tampon will be too big. I hope this helped!😊
