I have been diagnosed with PCOS about 10 years ago. I have been on birth control several times and stopped due to its side effects. Currently, I am on Metformin for about 4 months. I start spotting every 14-18 days for 3-4 days which leads to a 2 day flow. Then it follows another 2-3 days of spotting. So, this girl is really tired and frustrated with this crazy spotting and so short cycle. Is it a sign of low progesterone?

I cant test progesterone accurately because it is supposed be tested on the 21th day of your cycle and I never make it to that point. Does anyone know how can I test?

Has anyone else ever had this experience? Does anyone know anything that might help? I am also trying to conceive. That is probably not going to happen with this crazy cycle. Any help will be really really appreciated.
