My ring says 925, can I safely wash my hands with hand sanitizer?

I'm assuming it's sterling silver but I just want to make sure I can take it to work and I'll be washing my hands and using sanitizer often

Alcohol-free hand sanitizers are more damaging to silver than the alcohol kind but ultimately they are both damaging over a period of time. So if you are constantly using hand sanitizer at work I’d recommend a silicone ring
