So my daughter is 4.5 years old and has had a fused labia since birth. Doctor said not to worry, she will probably open soon and if she doesn’t open by 10 years old, they can perform surgery. I don’t want to wait that long if it’s not necessary! He’s prescribed creams to try to help open her up but they haven’t worked. He even said most of the time the dreams aren’t permanent anyway. This has not affected my daughter being able to potty train (thank goodness!) but she does complain of some irritation down there.

Does anyone else’s daughter have or had the same thing? Should I have her see a specialist? Or am I worrying over nothing? TIA!
