Too early to apartment shop?

I’m planning on moving my children and I out of my mom’s house into an apartment at the end of September or beginning of October. Would it be too early to start buying things, even though I don’t have a place yet?

Yes. Just save up and buy it all when you have your place. Why move it twice?

I mean I wouldn’t buy any big things if you don’t even know the dimensions of rooms yet. Idk about where you live but most apartments here have waitlists. If you want to move in September  you should have already applied. If you already know where you’re moving, you know dimensions, and you have somewhere to keep all the stuff then go for it
