Do you think it would be safe to bring my almost 2 year old to the store?

Question

I haven’t brought him out AT ALL since this whole thing happened. I need to go to a used clothing store today to buy something to wear for photos tomorrow. I will keep him in the stroller so he can’t touch anything. 
The store says everyone needs to wear face masks to enter (obviously I won’t be putting one on him though). I will sanitize my hands before I touch him and then when I get home I will wash my hands. Should I wash his as well when I get home? 
I’m just really really nervous because like I said I haven’t brought his out. I, myself, haven’t been in much places either. I could leave him and my husband in the car today and run in myself, but I would rather the company...thoughts? Should I just leave them in the car or bring them with me inside? I plan to be quick, I’m looking for something specific so I shouldn’t be too long. Where we live there aren’t many cases. But there has be a couple store employees that I heard had it... so idk?
Also thought I’d ask...should I bother going into a used clothing store? I mean I would wash everything as soon as I get home: but is it risky? Should I just go to a mall?

I took my toddler to a consignment shop but she is almost three and wore a mask the entire time, correctly, because we have practiced at home

I’ve brought my 3 year old and 1 year old to Target a couple times since this started. I either wear the baby or he stays in the stroller. I sanitize my hands before and after. We’ve only gone in the evening before bedtime so I put them in the bath when we get home. We like that time and on a weekday so it’s not crowded. I don’t use a cart, I bring my own bags, and I pay with my phone so I don’t have to touch the pad.

I think you’ll be fine. Sanitize your hands, don’t let him touch anything, stay away from crowded aisles and wash all hands when you get home.

I’ve been super hesitant to take my baby out he’s 8 months but we’ve had to brave Walmart a few times. I feel awful wearing a mask when he can’t but I also think if everyone else is wearing a mask he’s fairly safe. We don’t use the carts or touch anything we don’t have to. If we can avoid taking him in though we do. Often either myself or my husband will stay out in the car with him, I’ve only taken him in when I’ve been alone and we’ve had to have something

Depends where you live. In Florida or Cali? No . I’m in Canada and we have less then 300 cases in the whole country so we wear masks and sanitize often and don’t socialize, the risk is minimal here.

I would leave him with husband if you’re able to. We’ve only taken our 2 year old in with us when we don’t have other options. One time when our son needed to try on a life jacket before we bought it and one time when my husband was out of town but we needed groceries.

Where I live 2 & up have to wear a mask. If it were me I wouldn’t bother taking him especially since you have the option not to take him, if I had no other options I’d take him with a mask & of course wash his hands (I always have wipes with me anyways-pre COVID)

I took my one year old to Walmart. I wiped the cart down before I put him in it and nobody got close to him or me. Everyone kept their distance. It wasn’t a problem.

My kids wear masks (ages 6,4,3,and 1) we only go places where asks are mandatory and we take sanitizer but they were already used to holding hands everywhere so they don't touch things in stores. Just be safe and cautious about people who are coughing or sniffling and we always stand away from people.
