All of the time! EBay is often cheaper than Amazon.
EBay sellers Care a lot about their reviews and don't want to do anything to damage them. So just make sure you skim their reviews before you buy from them, and if you don't see anything alarming you should be good to go. Whenever I've had an issue with an item the seller has gone above and beyond to make it right.

My SO buys from eBay typically for vehicle parts or for small engines. Other than that, I generally only shop Amazon.

All the time. I even got my wedding dress from there. 
I always check sellers reviews before buying anything and that they are from the same country as me to avoid a long wait plus I always use PayPal. I've not had any major problems just a few odd bits but the seller has always been quick to rectify any problems before I've had to escalate it.

I buy all kids of stuff from ebay and use PayPal to pay. They are both good at refunds depending on what happens. Never had a problem with anything not showing up.  Jewelry, baby stuff, phone cases, headphone, fabric, you name it I've probably bought it from ebay lol
