Does music influence a child's behavior?

I have a 2 year old and when I'm cleaning or just relaxing I enjoy listening to metal music. My husband's mother told me that my music is going to turn my child into a disrespectful deliquent. Do you feel like music is powerful enough to influence a childs behavior in that way? I will always raise my children to be respectful however she thinks if I continue to listen to this music around her my parenting skills won't matter bc she will still become a terrible child.
