Do I really have to wait?

I miscarried on Father’s Day at almost 6 weeks. My doctor recommended that we wait two cycles before trying again. I’m ovulating right now for the first time since and really want to try since I’ve heard a lot of women tend to be very fertile right after a miscarriage. But I am hesitant because of my doctor’s recommendation. I am so conflicted. What did you all do? Did you just go ahead and try or did you wait a couple cycles?

Don't wait! I am almost 8 weeks pregnant after three back-to-back chemical pregnancies. My reproductive endocrinologist (under whom I became pregnant with my current) says the guidance has changed in the last few years and there is no medical reason to wait after an early loss. Good luck!!

The only reason they told you to wait is for dating purposes. It’s harder to know how far along you are if you go from a mc to a pregnancy right away and in the past they have thought it increases the chances of recurring miscarriages. But that has been found to be untrue. Doctors will always air on the side of caution. But your fine to try again as soon as you’re ready.

Did you ask your dr why she recommended waiting? I was told by several drs that as long as you were less than 12 weeks when you miscarried there is no reason to wait.

Dude I’d just do it. They say that because they wanna make sure hcg has completely gone down. If so then you’re in the safe zone to try again and I don’t see why not. Good luck

There may be is a reason they told you to wait but I MC in June and my OB didn't give me a waiting guideline. Everyone has a different situation though so you have to make the call. Best wishes.
