How do you wash dishes

Do you a dish rag or a sponge you know one with a soft side and the other side a scrubber or do you use something else ? I’ve heard someone say I don’t use scrubbers to wash my dishes I’m not lazy I don’t get it they both get dishes clean right I’m just curious
