Waist trainers... do they work?

Do waist trainers really work? What have been your experiences with them?

They can damage to your ribs and reduce your lung capacity by about 30-60%, cause you to pass-out and lead to build-up of fluid in your lungs, affect your digestive system because of the compression leading to blockages in your digestive tract and acid reflux, restrict your lymphatic system and make it hard on your body’s ability to get rid of wastes and toxins, possible meralgia paresthetica, rash and infection as tight synthetic materials trap moisture, etc
If you wore one for years every day eventually it would, but it would give you that creepy Victorian look. Personally I would rather have a small waist from eating well and toned abs from working out. Without risking my health.

I’m convinced they just make you look good underneath your clothes lol there’s been no proof they actually do anything effective. My experience with them, I still wear one under dresses to smooth my mid section out. But they give me bad reflux cus it’s essentially squeezing your insides.

Doctor Sam agrees with White that these waist trainers are only helpful for a short-term fix or to create a silhouette when you're wearing them.
Turns out, those comments about improving posture, strengthening the core, and attacking fat and impurities in the body are all hogwash. And while both Sam and White said waist trainers can change the shape of your body in the short term, they both would not recommend using them long term.
Even more dangerous, they've (celebrities) told their followers in the past that they've worked out in the waist trainer. It's hard to imagine getting in a good workout while experiencing any of the symptoms Doctor Sam mentioned, from nausea to fractured ribs.

Your diet will make your waist smaller as you get less fat there. 
Unless you use those like in the 1800 since a teen ut may be molding as you grow up. But as an adult just do your diet and lose more fat you will see different.

Waist trainers are good as long as your giving yourself room to breathe. Also corsets and waist trainers a def not the same. I use a waist trainer when I’m running at the gym sometimes and they help me sweat out! Hope that helps(:

I bought that was like a belt called sweet sweat. You wear it while you workout. I was sweating a lot when id apply the sweat cream and the belt during my workout but I can't say i seen any real results. My waist didn't sinch in or anything. Id probably just do more exercises that target problem areas on my stomach

proper steel boned waist training corset and consistant use? yes! they work 😍

They do work if you use it correctly. Your not supposed to wear one that’s way too tight that you can’t breath and not for over 8 hours. You actually have to work out if you want results. It’s not going to do anything but make you uncomfortable if your just wearing it and not working out or eating properly. It’s to help shape! It’s not just going to magically take the weight off, but it will help you eat less.
