FTM.. Coughing a sign if teething?

I took my 10 month old to urgent care over the weekend after noticing he was fussy and having a very runny nose. They said he has officially started teething. Today he woke up coughing a lot. Is coughing a symptom of teething.?

My son usually has mucus and drainage while teething so sometimes he has a slight cough. He has one now and has 3 teeth coming. He has 8 other teeth and it seemed to be the pattern.

My son usually gets a little cold when he’s teething. He mostly coughs in the morning and at night from it. If he’s coughing during the day I know it’s something other than teething. 
I also had one that got an ear infection every time he cut a tooth. 
If this is your baby’s first tooth you won’t really know until the next tooth. You’ll soon find what his normal is for cutting teeth. Each baby is different in the signs they show.

It could be a cold or the runny nose could be causing irritation/post nasal drip. Just keep an eye on him for other symptoms. :)
