Menstual cups and period texture

This is hard to explain so bare with me here.

I know this is an odd question, but I’ve been using a cup for a couple of months now, and I notice when I empty it that the blood is jelly/slimy textured. It doesn’t pour out of the cup like water, but more so slimy like snot. I know I’m painting a horrible picture here but it is kind of freaking me out! Is this normal?
