Has anyone had menstrual like cramps

in the 3rd trimester(37 weeks and FTM) I don’t think it’s contractions because my belly doesn’t get tight or anything. It’s constant for about 30 mins and then stops. My hips hurt so bad also and just wondering if this is just my body preparing or what. I go to the doctor this week and I wasn’t dilated last week so could this be me possibly dilating? HELP
