Visiting parent?

I really need non-judgmental advice about my and my husbands parents...
We live in California and our parents live in Ohio. We all want to be together when the baby arrives (obviously not at the hospital). 
Should I let them fly here? They can’t get enough time to quarantine for 2 weeks and we obviously can’t plan on when the baby is coming exactly so driving is a no go. 
I know some of you are probably in similar situations. TIA ❤️❤️

The mother’s antibodies are passed onto baby and are highest in the first few months of life (from what I’m reading.) Knowing this, it doesn’t make much sense to me to wait 2-3 months. My in-laws are very cautious and considerate people. They’ll be flying in sometime soon after she’s born. I’m asking them to shower & change clothes as soon as they arrive, since they’ll have been through the airport. Then just standard flu season precautions- no kissing the baby, no touching her face, and lots of hand-washing. Some have suggested wearing a mask while holding the baby, but they’ll be staying in the home, so I’m not sure it’ll do any good. I also plan to ask any family planning to visit to limit social activities the two weeks leading up to their visit. 
If I thought COVID would be over in 2 months, I’d hold off on visitors, but I don’t see that happening... and flu season is right around the corner too.

My in-laws are driving to help us in Montana from central Ohio. They are taking precautions very seriously. We just moved 1300 miles away to Montana for my husbands job, so we have no one out here and are having twins with a toddler at home also. We are being smart with social distancing, masks, sanitizing... I just can’t live my life in complete fear of the virus.

I would wait. The risk is just too high. It bites, yes, but it’s better than someone contracting Covid.

I asked my OB about this today. She said she’d recommend to wait 2 months for visitors. And if anyone is going to be close to the baby, make sure they have their pertussis vaccine.

No one really has evidence of antibodies so it makes no difference what protection youbpass on to baby, you can’t protect them from this. Our parents live up the road but they’re having to quarantine for 14 days before they see us. It’s the only way we can guarantee the safety of everyone. Thats including our parents as a hospital is a high risk setting and you could catch it in hospital and pass it on to them also. 
Reading your responses I don’t feel like you want to hear the many reasons why you should follow advice and not mix between people who haven’t quarantined and it seems you want to cling on to the one or two people who will tell you they aren’t following advice. It’s a crap time and everything is being badly effected by this virus. My children haven’t seen their grandparents in four months! But it’s what we have to do to stay safe and the alternative worse case scenario doesn’t bare thinking about!

She sorta laughed when I asked what their recommendation was. She said FaceTime and there will come a time for people to meet the new babe but now isn't the time. We are in the metro Atlanta area for reference.

I’m in Utah and parents are Mississippi. They are flying out a couple weeks after my due date and likely staying with us. I trust them and I know they will take every precaution and respect my rules for being here and handling baby. So yes. My parents will be visiting.

We live 5 mins from both my mom and my in-laws.... my dad lives about 30 mins away.... we have seen them the last few months and don't really plan on keeping them from the baby. Of course with caution... Probably will have them make sure they have clean clothes on, washed and sanitized hands and a mask if they hold her. I have kids in my home.... 8 year old and 4 year old.... to think that they would be more cautious than our parents would be silly of us.

I'm going to let my parents visit but they have to follow rules. No coming into our house without a mask and if they go out to any restaurant or bars they are not allowed to come over for 14 days and we plan to sit outside when they visit. Im unsure if I will let them hold baby just quite yet.
