Transferring two embryos, thoughts?

My first round of IVF/FET gave me my beautiful 13 month old baby girl. We did not do PGS testing, and transferred 1 embryo. My Dr didn’t even give me the option to transfer 2. I was 30 at the time, my husband 10 years older.

We are preparing for IVF #2 and for some reason, I’m getting worried maybe we won’t get so lucky the next time and should transfer 2. But I’m torn. We will not be PGS testing this time either. I haven’t even discussed this with my Dr yet so I’m not sure he would even be on board. Obviously there’s a chance neither will take, or that at least 1 would take. Then there’s always a chance both will, and while I would love twins, I’m very nervous about the risks. Of course there’s always a risk no matter what in pregnancy and there are no guarantees with

IVF. I also still remember a woman at my clinic who transferred 2 and one split, she was carrying triplets but lost the twins at 14-15 weeks, it was horrible. Now obviously I know we can’t dwell on others experiences or let it scare us, but it’s still a real life scenario and I just want to take it all into consideration. At the same time, transferring 2 could increase my chance for success of at least one, right?! And I’m sure most have a near perfect twin pregnancy with no or minimal issues.

I also had a very large subchorionic hemorrhage at 10 weeks pregnant and was classed as high risk. I was told it just happens to some women and IVF can increase this. So I would assume I’m at risk of this happening again, but not necessarily, hopefully not bcus it was so stressful. Thankfully it resolved after several weeks and the rest of my pregnancy was amazing.

Did anyone else feel this way? What helped you make your decision? Advice? Thank you.
