Continuous period for 21 days now. What to do?

I had my period on July 1st which is on track with my regular cycle but on the third day the flow became really light to nothing then the next day, I had my period going again but it is light and is a dark brown discharge. Last Sunday, the brown discharge turned into a dark red color and today is my 21st day on my period. Is this normal or should I consult an OBGYN? Hoping you can give me some advice.
