Big babies

Ok ladies, need some insight. This is my first and unfortunately for me big babies run in my family; for example my father was almost 10 lbs, my brother 8.7 lbs, and of course my fiancé and his cousin were both 8.9 lbs... I really want to deliver naturally if possible, c sections have always scared me and I've heard nothing but horror stories from my friends and family. Any input? Should I suck it up and just expect a c section or try for natural? I'm also trying to avoid an epidural seeing as I already have preexisting back problems and really don't want to make it worse. Thanks in advance?
