What age did you baby start watching tv?

What age did you allow your tv to be on around your baby and maybe watch it very occasionally?

We loved our lives from day 1. Its on most of the day in our house. She doesn't care. There's always either a TV show or music on in this house.

When baby is little I don’t think twice about it. I have never put a baby in front of the TV to keep busy but when I’m sitting there breastfeeding or even playing with the baby, I’ll have the TV on because I want to watch it or have something on. The issues start when it’s used as a babysitter and the kids get used to the constant stimulation from watching it. We very much limit screen time with my son who is now almost 3 and have always followed the recommendations as far as him wanting to watch Paw Patrol or one of his shows as he’s more likely to sit and watch then. Usually, we put something like the Masked Singer or Supermarket Sweep (haha) I’m the evening and he plays with his toys and barely pays attention. It’s all about balance.

My kids watched cartoon since they were babies , that’s how I kept them occupied when it was time to clean or anything .

We didn’t do any screen time until the world shut down, and now the only screen time is to FaceTime the grandparents we can’t see. I am very comfortable following the recommendations for no or minimal screen time.  There are so ma y other things to do that I just don’t find it necessary. We also don’t really watch anything until right before bed, which is long after his bedtime, so it isn’t like we have changed our lives around drastically.

We have movies on during the day but not tv shows.  It's been over 95 degrees outside for a while now and I'm not interested in cooking my kids lol. We would rather be outside but it is what it is. We play with toys or color or do a puzzle and its background noise a lot of the time...

We have to tv going various times throughout the day, but she shows no interest in it except for the intro songs or some commercials that have catchy tunes playing lol she’s 20months. If she wanted to sit and watch a cartoon it wouldn’t bother me, she just doesn’t care to🤷‍♀️
