Copper IUD pros and cons?

Hi friends!!
Have you used copper IUD pre or post pregnancy? Any side effects that aren't desirable? I'm very interested in it but have heard horror stories ranging from copper poisoning to it dislodging during sex. I'd love to hear your opinions/facts about it if you've had it done!

I had the copper iud for about 3
1/2 years before I got it removed without any problems. 
It made my periods alllllot heavier and unbearable tho.
Never had a problem with it being dislocated or anything; 
My husband and I get it out quiet a lot lol

I had Paragard iud before removing it ttc #2. I got it placed Jan of 19 a month after having my daughter in Dec of 18. 
I love it! The heavier bleeding in the beginning sucked but once that was gone my periods were monthly finally and medium/light as always been. It helped with sex because of my retroverted uterus so once it was in sex was better then it was with not not having the iud. No hormones was PLUS and lasts for 10YEARS!! 
Only problem I had was mine slipped down in my uterus, April of 19 it was checked and confirmed by ultrasound it slipped but I was told it was fine so I let it, April of 20 I start to experience cramping and heavy bleeding, I knew something was wrong, I was wanting it removed anyways, Drs couldn’t remove it because it embedded in my uterus (chances of it happening they said are rare) - May 28th I had it surgically removed. 
I will say after I have #2 I will get it put back in despite my complication.

I had increased cramping, longer periods, however no hormonal changes as I have had with other birth control.

Pros: I didn’t have cramping my cycles was shorten from 7 days to 4 and I had no heavy bleeding. Cons: I would never know exactly when my cycle was coming and I skip a whole cycle one month
